2014

The Start of Salad Atelier

The first Salad Atelier outlet opens at The Weld, Kuala Lumpur, and later at The Intermark. Marks the start of our journey with delivery and e-commerce platforms.

2015

The Opening of the Third Salad Atelier Outlet

We open the third Salad Atelier outlet at Avenue K.

2016

Menu Expansion, RedQ Outlet and Catering

Foray into catering and offering corporate discounts to neighbouring establishments. First menu expansion takes place. Opening the fourth outlet in AirAsia’s HQ, RedQ.

2017

Salad Atelier’s Central Kitchen

Birth of Central Kitchen. We open two more outlets in Sunway Velocity and The Starling. New menus such as Poke Bowls and the fan-favourite Chicken Aglio Olio are introduced.

2018

First Investor and Going Green

Receiving support from our first investor, Yinson Capital. Our initiative to go green begun. We use less plastic in our packaging and cease offering plastic straws. Operations at the seventh outlet at 1 Mont’ Kiara begins.

2019

Lazada’s LazMall Flagship Seller

Salad Atelier opens four more outlets in Klang Valley and becomes Lazada’s LazMall Flagship Seller, amongst other e-commerce websites.

2020

Horizontal Expansion and Giving Back to the Community

Pandemic and MCO occur. We expand horizontally, firstly by introducing D Mart. Later, the birth of our cloud kitchens, Lettuce & Rise and Med Mex. We give back to our community during this dark period.

2021

New Partnerships

Kick off our partnership with Sime Darby Oil Nutrition, Nestle, and shopping malls. New menu, including the popular Power Salad, emerges from our collaboration with Kewpie. Seventeen menu items are awarded the MyChoice logo by the Ministry of Health. Four more outlets open their doors.

2022

Work towards Sustainability

We begin our partnerships with organisations that champion sustainability. We explore opportunities to offer plant-based menu to Malaysians. Since then, three Salad Atelier outlets begun operation, and three more introduced as on-the-go outlets.

2023

Spreading the Love of Healthy Eating

Opening first outlet outside of Klang Valley in TD Central, Johor Bahru. Introducing affordable meals to the masses through Saver Set and Meal of the Day. Reaching new fans via events throughout the year. Three outlets opening in the second half of the year.

We are pleased to announce that our Central Kitchen is now certified Halal by Jakim.

Our Central Kitchen supplies ingredients to our brands: Salad Atelier, Med Mex & Lettuce & Rise.

Our Central Kitchen has received a certificate for complying with the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) System, which regulates the safety and quality manufacturing of products and ingredients.

MyChoice

MyChoice is an initiative by the Ministry of Health Malaysia’s Nutrition Division to encourage Malaysians to favour low calorie, low sodium and make a healthier choice in their food intake.

Salad Atelier has 16 menu items that fit the highly regulated criteria, making our brand the only healthy restaurant chain in Malaysia recognised for our efforts to promote healthier menu and ingredients.
